The team’s dedication to improving upon the feedback received from the last EcoVadis assessment is reflected in this year’s result. Among the 4 categories assessed by Ecovadis, the team improved their scores for Social & Human Rights and Ethics. This progress is attributed to focused trainings around Corporate Social Responsibility and Diversity & Inclusion, alongside enhancing documentation within these categories. The team was proud to maintain their scores for the remaining categories, Environment and Sustainable Procurement.

Since our first announcement related to EcoVadis in 2022, the Courtenay plant has continued to implement projects related to sustainability:

    • Waste management improvement meetings have identified opportunities for waste to be recycled into our process, which have since been implemented
    • Progress on Life Cycle Assessments for all products
    • Participation in SEAM for 2 years, with plans to continue

Maintaining transparency regarding our sustainability journey remains a foundational aspect of our roadmap, Shaping 2030. Collaborating with EcoVadis to procure impartial third-party assessments and certified data underscores our pledge to accountability.
